Ceiling repair in Northwest Indiana
Water stains, sagging board, cracked seams and failed texture. A ceiling almost never fails on its own, so the first job is finding what is actually wrong above it.
What the job includes
- Trace the source — roof, plumbing, ice dam or condensation — before repairing
- Cut out compromised board rather than skimming over it
- Replace, tape and skim to a flat, paint-ready finish
- Match existing texture across the repair
- Prime stains with a blocking primer so they do not bleed back through
- Repaint the full ceiling plane, because a spot repair always shows
Signs you need this
- A brown or yellow ring that has appeared or grown
- Board bowing between joists, or nail heads pushing through
- Cracks running the length of a room along a seam
- Popcorn or heavy texture you want gone
How the work runs
You describe the job
Address, what needs doing, and when you would like it. No phone tag to get a person to come and look, and no account to create first — that happens when you submit.
You get a written quote
An itemised document, not a number over the phone. You read it, and you sign it online if you want it. Nothing starts before that signature.
You watch it happen
Each stage of the work is marked off and photographed by the crew as they go. You can see where the job actually is without asking anybody.
You keep the record
Materials, warranties, permits, photographs and cost stay attached to your property permanently — so the next owner, or your insurer, can see exactly what was done.
We work with a vetted network of licensed, insured contractors across Northwest Indiana.
Common questions
There is a water stain on my ceiling but no active drip. Do I still need it fixed?
You need the cause diagnosed either way. A dry stain means the leak either stopped, is seasonal, or is slow enough to evaporate — and only one of those is good news. We would rather look in the attic first than repair a ceiling that is going to stain again in the next thaw.
Why repaint the whole ceiling instead of just the patch?
Because ceilings are a single uninterrupted plane lit from the side, which is the most unforgiving condition there is for a paint match. A spot repair reads as a bright square from the doorway even when the colour is right. Rolling the full plane costs a little more and is the difference between fixed and invisible.
Do you handle popcorn ceiling removal?
Yes, but with a caveat: texture applied before roughly 1980 can contain asbestos, and that has to be tested before anyone scrapes it. If a test comes back positive, removal becomes licensed abatement work and we will say so rather than proceed.
